About

A support service, not a program

Wattlepath Supports exists to make ordinary support arrangements clear, changeable and genuinely led by the person receiving them.

Why we work this way

Most frustration comes from things left unsaid

People rarely complain about the support itself. They complain about not knowing who is coming, agreements written in language nobody speaks, and decisions made about them in rooms they were not in.

So the design of this service is deliberately boring in the right places: everything is written down, everything is changeable, and the person receiving the support is in every conversation about it.

Where we cannot help, because of capacity, location, or because another provider is a better fit, we say so early and point elsewhere. That is a normal outcome, not a failure.

The first meeting

You decide who comes into your home and your week

Before anything is agreed, you meet the people who would be supporting you wherever that is practical, and you can say no without giving a reason. Nothing starts until the arrangement is written down in language you would actually use.

Working rules

What our team is held to

  • You decide, we adjust

Decisions about your support belong to you. Where you want someone else involved, you tell us who and how much.

  • Nothing about you without you

You are part of every conversation about your support, including the ones with referrers and other providers.

  • Plain language, in writing

Agreements, notes and changes are written the way we would explain them out loud, and shared with you.

  • Saying no is a normal answer

You can decline a worker, an activity, a time or a suggestion without needing to justify it, and without it affecting your other supports.

Limits

Three things we will not do

  • We will not take on work we cannot staff

Saying yes and then rostering nobody is worse than saying no. If we do not have capacity, we say so and tell you when that might change.

  • We will not speak for you

In meetings with other providers, funders or family, we support you to say what you want to say. If you want us to speak, you tell us what to say.

  • We will not use your story as marketing

No photographs of participants, no case studies, no testimonials collected in exchange for anything. The illustrations on this site exist for that reason.

Registration and regulation

Ask us directly, and we will answer in writing

Registration status, insurance details, worker screening and the specific NDIS support categories we can claim against are confirmed in writing before any agreement is signed, and we will send them to you earlier if you ask.

We do not publish claims about registration status on this page, because those details change and an out-of-date claim on a website is worse than none at all.

You can raise a concern about any NDIS provider with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission at any time, whether or not you have spoken to us first.
